Ringwood Bowling Club

Congratulations to the ladies' teams for winning all of their league matches last week. Long may it continue.

There were two close encounters of the bowls kind on Friday:-

Sadly, Pete Ward lost his Bowls Hampshire 2 Wood Singles Final against Dave Sims of Alton by just one shot, 13 - 12.

Also, the Bowls England Two-Fours Mid/West Hampshire Area Final versus Atherley B was keenly fought. Needing 3 on the last end to force an extra end, Pete Ward's rink could only muster 2 and sadly, our Men's 1st team also lost by just one shot.

Tuesday 10th August. NFWBA Ladies' 1st Team at Home versus Lyndhurst. A much needed win for the ladies but they stay rooted at the bottom of the table. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 36 - 30. Points 4 - 2.

Tuesday 10th August. NFWBA Ladies' 2nd Team Away versus New Milton 2. This great win for the ladies lifts them off the bottom of the table. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 50 - 32. Points 6 - 0.

Tuesday 10thAugust. NFBA Men's 1st Team Home & Away versus Braeside A. The 1st team march on to the next round of the President's Trophy with this win.  Rinks 3 - 1. Shots 70 - 40.

Thursday 5th August. B&DWBA Ladies' 1st Team at Home versus Lymington. A superb win for the ladies in their first B&DWBA league match this month. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 39 - 31. Points 4 - 2.

Saturday 14th August . B&DBA Triples 1st Team Away versus New Milton. A close contest with Ringwood getting the victory by 5 shots which keeps them in second slot. Rinks 2 - 2. Shots 68 - 73. Points 4 - 10.

Saturday 14th August. B&DBA Triples A Team at Home versus New Milton A. Another loss sees the A team drop another place in the table. Rinks 2 - 2. Shots 61 - 76. Points 4 - 10.

Saturday 14th August. B&DBA Triples B Team Away versus West Moors C. A close game but unfortunately another loss and no points for the B team. However, they stay in third place. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 43 - 37. Points 6 - 0.
