Weekly Bulletin 30th July

The B&DWBA Competition Finals that were due to be played on Monday 24th July were postponed due to bad weather, sitting water on the Argyl Green and forecasted storms. New date TBA.
 
The Bournemouth Open Week starts today which means that there are no B&D league matches this coming week. Good luck to all Ringwood Bowlers taking part in the Open.
 
On Wednesday Ringwood are at Home versus Boscombe Cliff in the 3rd Round of the Bowls Hampshire Mixed Top Club competition. 6.00pm start. All support welcome.

Tuesday 25th July. NFWBA Ladies Team Away versus Downton. One rink was very close but a poor result on the other resulted in a drop down the table to one place off the bottom. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 41 - 21. Points 6 - 0.

Tuesday 25th July. NFBA Men's 1st Team at Home versus Fordingbridge. Despite sharing rink wins, the last match of the season ended with a loss. Rinks 2 - 2. Shots 60 - 70. Points 2 - 6. The 1st Team finish in 4th place but would have been 3rd if one match result had been reported on time.

Thursday 27th July. B&DWBA Ladies Team Away versus Ferndown. A convincing win, away from home, cements the ladies in 3rd place, 1 point behind New Milton. Rinks 0 - 2. Shots 16 - 45. Points 0 - 6.

Thursday 27th July. NFBA Men's A Team Away versus Braeside A. With no prospect of being relegated, the A Team couldn't quite match the opposition on their carpet in this last match of the season. Rinks 3 - 1. Shots 81 - 59. Points 7 - 1.

Thursday 27th July. NFBA Men's B Team. No match. Bye.

Saturday 29th July. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team at Home versus Branksome Park Eagles. Another heavy loss for the B Team but they hang on to 4th place by just one rink win. Rinks 0 - 2. Shots 15 - 53. Points 0 - 6.

Saturday 29th July. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team at Home versus Branksome Park. A great turnaround in the match gave the 1st team a well deserved win but they stay in 7th position. Rinks 2 - 1. Shots 62 - 56. Points 8 - 2.

Saturday 29th July. B&DBA Mixed A Team at Home versus Branksome Park Blades. The loss of one shot, on the last end of the match, resulted in no points for the A Team and a drop to the bottom of the table. Rinks 0 - 3. Shots 38 - 75. Points 0 - 10.

Sunday 6th August. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team Away versus West Moors Woodpeckers. 10.00am start.
