Congratulations and Well Done to both teams who entertained those watching the Autumn Triples Final on Monday. This exciting, close fought match went down to a measure, for shot, on the last end resulting in a 16-15 win for Chris Pentelow, Malcolm Chater and Pete Smith. The Runners Up are Chris Tyler, Debbie Senior and Paul Wright.

 

On Sunday, the Ringwood Mixed Team came up against a very strong Alton Social BC side in one of the Bowls Hampshire Mixed Top Club Semi Finals held at Banister Park BC. The results follow. Men's Singles. Dan Cookman lost 21-18. Ladies' Singles. Chris Pentelow lost 21-7. Pairs. Sharon Varndell and Pete Ward Won 27-10. Triples. Debbie Senior, Derick Fulker and Steve Van Wyk lost 25-13. Fours. Chris Dalrymple, Patricia Reeves, Neil Richmond and Mark Brocklebank lost 22-11. Alton Social went on to win the Competition, in the afternoon. 

Despite this loss, it was a great achievement as it is the first time a Ringwood mixed team has reached the Mixed Top Club Finals. Congratulations and Well Done to all those members who took part during the series. By winning the Hampshire West Area Final, at the end of last month, the prize of £50 will go into the Club coffers.

Congratulations and Well Done to Peter Smith & Helen Blackiston who won the B&DBA Mixed Pairs Final on Sunday, played at Bournemouth BC. They were well behind early in their match against Vic Druce (Bournemouth BC). However, a late comeback took the match to an extra end where they took a 4 to win 19-15. On the next rink, it was a similar scenario for Allan Mason against Chris Cieciura ( Pelhams BC) in the Officers Cup Final. Falling well behind, early on, he rallied to bring the score back level at 19-19 but fell at the final hurdle, 21-19, to take the runner-up trophy.
