It is with very great sadness that I have to report that Barry Vaughan passed away, peacefully, this morning.
He was in the Macmillan unit at Christchurch hospital for the past 10 days.

Barry took up Bowling, at Ringwood in 2016 and became a very good player and an extremely popular member.
He was also very active behind the scenes in many roles such as Buildings Committee Chairman, Schools Liaison, Youth Promotion, Men's Player Representative and Vice President.
A couple of his major achievements were having the stamina to successfully secure a new lease, for the club, following protracted negotiations with Ringwood Town Council. Also, investigating and managing the instalment of  Solar Panels on the clubhouse roof, saving the club much revenue.

Barry was last seen at the Bowling Club at the prize presentation evening where he received the 45-Up Trophy.

Barry will be very much missed and our deep condolences go out his wife Laurel, his children Kamala and Jonathan, his extended family and friends.

Details of Barry's funeral will be posted when known.

Kindest regards,
Allan, on behalf of
Amanda Smith (General Secretary)
