Congratulations to Peter Ward who has been bowling very well to achieve the following last week.

Together with Sharon Varndell won the Bowls England - Hampshire (Mid/West) / Isle of Wight Area, Mixed Pairs Semi Final, 14-12 against Paul Allo (Cowes Medina, Isle of Wight). They next play Ray Costin (Mayfield Park) at Ringwood on Friday 14th July at 3.00pm.

Won the Bowls Hampshire, 2 Wood Singles West Area Final against Lee Croad. 17-13. Peter plays in the County Q/F & S/F matches at Banister Park on Monday 10th July.

Together with Chris Daniels (Boscombe Cliff) won the Bowls England - Hampshire (Mid/West) / Isle of Wight Area, Senior Pairs Semi Final against Alan Forrest (Fleming Park) 22-16. They next play John Attrill (Sandown, Isle of Wight) at Banister Park on Thursday 13th July in the afternoon.

Won the Bowls England - Hampshire (Mid/West) / Isle of Wight Area, Men's Senior Singles (Over 55) - Semi Final against Stuart Anderson (Ryde Marina, Isle of Wight), 21-10. Peter next plays Paul Sidwell (Folland) in the Area Final on a neutral green, TBA.

Sadly, the Ladies' Team of Mavis Hammond, Helen Blackiston, Chris Pentelow and Debbie Senior lost their Bowls Hampshire Area Fours Final, against N. Mapes (Lymington) on Wednesday 5th July, played at Fordingbridge.

Tuesday 4th July. NFWBA Ladies Team Away versus Lyndhurst 1. A very close match but the ladies come second best by 2 shots, placing them in 4th place in the League. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 37 - 35. Points 4 - 2.

Tuesday 4th July. NFBA Men's 1st Team at Home versus Fordingbridge A. Match postponed due to heavy rain.

Thursday 6th July. B&DWBA Ladies Team Away versus Pelhams. Despite losing to Pelhams, Ringwood Ladies stay above them in the league but drop down to 4th place . Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 35 - 28. Points 4 - 2.

Thursday 6th July. NFBA Men's A Team. No match. BYE.

Thursday 6th July. NFBA Men's B Team at Home versus Fordingbridge C. Despite a great 19 shot win the B Team stay in 4th place, just 3 points off 2nd place. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 45 - 26. Points 4 - 0.

Saturday 8th July. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team Away versus West Moors Bees. Another close game but the B Team stay in 4th place despite losing by 5 shots. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 31 - 26. Points 4 - 2.

Saturday 8th July. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus Boscombe Cliff. Despite losing the match, the 1st Team jump up to 7th place courtesy of winning on two rinks. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 65 - 57. Points 6 - 4.

Saturday 8th July. B&DBA Mixed A Team Home versus Southbourne A. The A Team stop the rot with a very good 10 shot win. Despite this, they stay bottom of the table on Rink wins deficit. Rinks 2 - 1. Shots 60 - 50. Points 8 - 2.
