If you have visited the club recently you will have noticed how good the club and grounds are looking. As well as Paul, looking after the green, Brian Harrington, Mel Barrett, Neil Richmond and Ivan Griffin, colloquially known as The Old Boys (their words not mine) have been beavering away improving the club and grounds during and since the end of the season. They have been banging away in all weathers and Mel has toiled away, for 2 weeks, staining the fences. I'm sure you will join me in thanking all of ‘Old Boys’ for their hard work, effort and dedication.

A few words from our President and General Secretary

'To walk into the car park and grounds and to see how clean and tidy and fresh it looks is a very rewarding sight.
It doesn’t take a minute to notice and to pass a positive comment but it does make a such a difference to everyone who works so hard.

It takes all sorts of input from different people to make our club run as well as it does and it is all very much appreciated

Kind regards
Chris and Doug xx'

It is with great sadness that I have to report the recent passing of Michael Poore.

Michael joined Ringwood in 2020 and was very active bowler and popular character within the club.
Due to illness, he was unable to play during the last two seasons and it is sad to reflect that we will not see him on the green again.

Michael's funeral will take place at 2.00pm on Friday 1st November at Bournemouth Crematorium.

Michael will be very much missed by members and our deep condolences go out his family and friends.

Kindest regards,
Chris Dalrymple

Also, this will cheer him up because, he is this week's 50/50 winner with number 45. Well done Roger, we look forward to seeing you back on the green next season.

Not as many volunteers turned up on Monday, as was hoped, to clear the ditches of spoil from previous work carried out on the Green. It was hoped that at least eight members would turn up,ie. two per side. However, It is with great thanks to the four that did turn up, Geoff Robins, Barry Vaughan, Peter Smith and Allan Mason that the work was completed.

Yesterdays Ladies Section AGM was postponed until November 16th. Unfortunately, there were too many ladies away or ill to have a meaningful vote on the Ladies Officer's posts.

Dear Members

Well what a grand night it was at the curry night - superb food - excellent atmosphere - and a good time enjoyed by everyone.

Sincere thanks to Karen, Sooki, Maureen, Ken (oh the bandana was amazing), to Paul, Ivan, Brian and Mel for all their hard work providing us with such a fun evening.
