On Wednesday, the sun turned up to bathe the green in glorious sunshine for Derick Faulkner's NFBA Presidents Day. Representatives from NFBA Clubs and NFBA dignitaries enjoyed a great afternoon of good bowling. After the games, a sumptuous spread was devoured by the combatants which was wonderfully prepared by Ringwood Ladies. A big thank you to the Ladies and Derick for making the day a wonderful occasion.
Congratulations to Ringwood Ladies who have two teams through into the NFWBA Cox’s 2 wood pairs Finals, to be played at Lymington in September.

Ringwood Bowling Club welcomed Ringwood School back to bowls on Wednesday 16th June. Six year 8 boys turned up and worked in pairs through the obstacles laid out for them together with our members who volunteered to help.
They all had a wonderful time and seemed very keen with some showing natural ability. The teachers that accompanied them were enthusiastic and hopeful that they will tell their friends and encourage them to also come and try bowls.
The session finished with squash and chocolate biscuits and a resounding eagerness to come back next week.
Thank you to all the helpers, some of which rearranged a match to be able to help. A special thank you to Barry who in spite of numerous failed attempts persisted and achieved what is to be 5 weeks of youth learning to bowl at Ringwood Bowling Club.
